You've found out my passion. If I had to choose one category then crime is it. Murder, mystery, mayhem with a little romance and I'm delirious with happiness.

which end of the scale do you sit? are you a cozy reader or a hardbolied reader? i prefer the harder end. i love ian rankin, michael connelly, lawrence block and val mcdermid (i don't think the spelling's right there).

That would have been a much easier question to answer a few years ago when I read everything on Mary Higgins Clark and James Patterson (ohh, and every author that continued to write Star Wars). Now, my taste has branched out and it all depends on the mood I'm in.

Before I go on, I would recommend James Patterson's 1st to Die and 2nd Chance.

As I was saying, it all depends on my mood. There are days when I'm looking for something more relaxing and pick up a romance novel. Sarah Ball's Nine Months was a real treat and funny. Then there are times that I curl up in bed and read forensic books. I do this for two reasons - so I can stay on top of the current information and I find it fascinating to see how the real detectives solve crimes. I hate it when I'm reading a book or watching a movie and it's riddled with evidence mistakes.
